• Unusual to see a Nordictrack treadmill to feature a 4.0 CHP motor (CHP is the horsepower that matters, not just HP or THP)
• Big spacious treadbelt at 20"X60" to accommodate the faster than normal 12 MPH max speed and steeper than normal 15% incline
• Built in TV
• Likely one of the more durable treadmills offered by Nordictrack (as indicated by an above average 2 year parts warranty)
• Better speakers than the other models

Bad points

• Might be too expensive for many
• Though it's a 2010 model, it doesn't support the new iFit Live, only the old iFit workout cards

• 2010 Black Friday Price: $1499 - Though there are better options at this price range, the $1499 is definitely one of the lowest prices we've seen for the Elite 9500 Pro. If you've been debating as to whether you should get this treadmill, now is the chance as it's unlikely the price will drop below $1499 during the 2010 Christmas shopping season.

With the word "Pro" you might have assumed that there was a Non pro version of this treadmill before. As far as we know, this is not the case. One thing you can be sure of is that this is a brand new 2010 model and a pretty solid one at that. Though you can find other treadmills at much lower prices with a built in TV, if you're looking for the most solidly built treadmill with a TV, unless you go the commercial route, the Nordictrack Elite 9500 Pro is probably your best bet. Considering the fact that it comes with a 4.0 CHP, a warranty longer than the typical 1 year parts and labor that you get for most other Nordictrack treadmills, an above average weight capacity at 350 lbs and the fact that it was built in 2010, you're very likely to be buying something with a lot of bells and whistles with sacrificing in the quality department. If you're willing to shell out $1599 (at the time of review), this is one of the most solid choices that Nordictrack has to offer.
