Good points

• Very affordable home treadmill and can be had for as low as $699 during sale days
• For a entry level home treadmill, this piece of machinery is pretty well equipped

Bad points

• Doesn't specify the motor's horsepower rating, treadbelt size and max incline UNLESS you compare it with the other treadmills using the COMPARE function on Nordictrack's website (motor's horsepower rating is 2.8 HP which is like total instead of continuous horse power; incline is up to 10% and treadbelt is 20"x55")
• New but unproven model as there are still no user reviews at the time of writing

• Jan 29/2010 Update: The Nordictrack T5 zi's price has been slashed yet again. It would seem that Nordictrack is discontinuing this treadmill so it's offering it at the closeout and rock bottom price of $629. Though the T5 zi is not the best treadmill, it is a step up from the cheaper budget models.
  

   

  If you're in the market for a new home treadmill, the Nordictrack T5 zi is an acceptable choice. In our opinion, depending on your needs, the Nordictrack A2550 Pro or the Nordictrack T7 si are possibly better alternatives if you want a few extra programs or just a few more extra features. If you want to save a bit more money, you're really only sacrificing the air fans, the workout programs in the form of iFit Live and the programs built-in by investing in the Nordictrack T5 zi.
  
  

Description

• Lose weight, be fit and stay healthy with the NordicTrack T5 zi treadmill.  It comes with the iFit workout card technology with each card being designed by a certified personal trainer and allows the automatic adjustment of the speed and incline of the machine.  With this, you are sure to see results in just 8 weeks.  Available in the NordicTrack T5 zi treadmill are 8 timed workouts to choose from which range from 15 to 60 minutes and 8 workouts which burn from 150 to 700 calories.  To better maximize the results, you can also choose the speed and incline of the machine with just a single touch of a button.  There are also sensors in the handlebars which monitor your heart rate to make sure you stay in your target heart rate zone.

  
  To make things even better, the NordicTrack T5 zi treadmill has a compatible port for iPod and an Intermix Acoustics 2.0 sound system so you can easily listen to your favorite music while shredding off those pounds.  With the NordicTrack T5 zi treadmill, your progress is made available for you anytime you want it through track-like display and a multi-window LED display that also includes a 5x7 workout matrix.  Other specifications of the machine are the following:  weight capacity of 325 lbs., SpaceSaver design, a roomy treadbelt, powerful motor and a FlexResponse cushioning system.
