• Features the unusual ability to run on a decline and an incline
• Very steep incline (40% vs the typical 12% or 10%)
• iFit live compatible which when combined with the incline and decline options can make your workouts really interesting
• Price is reasonable even at the regular retail price

• Perhaps not as durable as a treadmill should be at this price
• Motor may not be of the highest quality though the motor is warranted for life should something go on

• The Nordictrack X5i incline trainer is one of the newest models from Nordictrack making its debut in November 2009. This model is different from the Nordictrack X5 which doesn't support iFit Live. (This particular model also seems to have gone through name changes during its initial launch including Nordictrack TS Terrain, Incline Trainer TS3, and X6 Incline Trainer.) Compared to the Nordictrack X3, the X5i features several improvements to justify its $300 or so price difference. One difference is that it has a larger belt with a length measuring at 55" instead of 50". The second difference is that the newer model supports the brand new iFit Live feature which when you buy a separate iFit module, allows you to connect to the internet which greatly expands the features and functionality of a treadmill. The X5i also uses to exercise at a decline whereas the X3 doesn't. Other than that, the two treadmills are pretty much the same and we are still cautious as to the overall quality and durability considering the warranty length and the weight capacity.
