Good points

• Console has been upgraded from previous models with a brand new look
• Weight capacity of 350 lbs is on the high end suggesting that it's a higher quality treadmill
• Comes with fans, iPod support, spacesaver design (folds), heart rate monitor
• Spacious belt (20"x60")
• Compatible with the new iFit live (module sold separately)

Bad points

• Warranty at 1 yr parts/labor is short considering it's a treadmill that retails for $2000
• Retail price is too high and we haven't see it sell below retail at time of review but at $1000, this could turn out to be a winner

• One of the rules when it comes to buying treadmills and ellipticals from Proform is that unless it's on sale, you don't buy it. The Proform Power 995 is no exception especially at a retail price of $1999. At what price should you buy this treadmill? A good price to aim for is $1000. Proform and Nordictrack have treadmills with TV capabilities for around $1200 although they are a few years old and not brand spanking new like the Proform Power 995 which debuted in 2010. Since we believe a built in TV trumps iFit live (especially since you  have to shell out another $300 to $400 for the module), at anything more than $1300 is a little on the pricey end. At less than $1000, this would be one heck of a deal. Between $1000 and $1300, a pretty good deal and possibly the best deal depending on what else is offered during that time.

• Update 01/24/2010: The Proform 1050T is finally selling for a price of less than $1000 but a lot has changed in just the last few months when we first wrote the review. Both Nordictrack and Proform came out with many new 2010 models which offered more impressive specifications and in many cases, warranties. Though the 1050T is still an impressive treadmill especially compared to the 2008/2009 offerings at the same price, we now feel there are better choices out there.
